My Finished Project

Just for effect, I am re-posting the "BEFORE" pictures of the basement along with the brand new, fresh-off-the-memory-card "AFTER" pictures!!  :)  Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you my brand spankin' new basement stairway!  ;) Before AFTER Before AFTER Before AFTER Okay, so yes, it's missing a few things...like a handrail...and some decorations on the wall.  But never fear!  Those will be coming soon!!  :)

What I Did This Weekend...

The basement steps needed carpet.  That's it.  Just some carpet on the steps and I would've been happy.  But do you think that I could really stop there?!?  Absolutely not.  :)  Instead, I decided paint was necessary as well BEFORE the carpet was laid.  When do they want to lay the carpet?  Not 2 weeks from now like I figured.  But 2 DAYS from now!  Guess that speeds up the paint-color-picking-out process!  :)  Here are some "before" and "during" pictures for your enjoyment..."after" pictures will be posted later this week after the carpet is laid and the basement stairwell is looking gorgeous.  ;) BEFORE BEFORE BEFORE First coat of paint...it's gray in case you can't tell from the picture... Cooper checking out his gift Papa and Luke snuggling on the couch Lily Ann all dressed up like a princess Luke and his new train, "Luke!" Aunt Molly & Lily Ann Ruthie and her Princess Chest full of dress-up clothes Tammy & Luke Teri & Cooper Aunt Molly & Cooper All in all, it was a wonderful Christmas even if we DID have to celebrate it a week late!  I am blessed to have a family
