A Few More Cards

I had a few days off this week so I spent some time with my Cricut.  (Surprise, surprise.)  :)  Here are a few cards I made with the leftover paper from the Teacups book I made a few weeks ago. Now it's time to go back to work for a few days, so the Cricut will get a break.  :)  But only for a few days...as soon as my Elmo cartridge arrives from Amazon, I'll start designing my nephew's first birthday party invitations!  :)  Can't wait!

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!  Cricut and I had a fun time preparing for this day.  ;)  This card was sort of a spin-off of another card that I was thinking about making from my "Cardmaking With Cricut" book.  I started out following the design from the book EXACTLY as it was shown.  But then I decided I could make it MUCH cuter using my own imagination...and my own Cricut cartridges.  Here's the final result!    I've never really been all that into Valentine's Day before...I mean, don't get me wrong...I've always loved getting cards, chocolate, and sometimes even flowers!  But THIS year...there was Pinterest.  There were just so many new fun ideas to try for Valentine's Day that I couldn't help myself!  :)  My nieces, nephews, honorary nieces and nephews, friends, and family all got a healthy dose of LOVE today!  Homemade play-dough, homemade cards, homemade chocolate covered pretzels...mmmmm!  :)  It was a good day.  :)

Tammy wanted the whole scrapbook to have a Tea Party theme...so we cut out a tea pot for the first page and then used the Cricut to cut out cute little teacups.  Then, we found little tags at Pat Catan's that we used for our "tea bags." On some of the pages, we printed out quotes and verses and pasted them on the teacups.  On the others, we tucked squares of cream colored paper into the tea cups and attached them to the tea bags with the name of each friend that will be present at the party printed on the tea bag.  The idea is for each frie
